Currently tally is:

  • Green Party: 21
  • Labour Party: 11
  • Liberal Democrats: 5

The Greens need one more seat from the three available in Fortis Green to have a majority.

Oh dear, they didn't get it. Will require talks with the Lib Dems. Or possibly one of the Lib Dems or Labour councillors to join the Greens. For the Lib Dems to ally with Labour would be the most vile betrayal since.... well, their last one.

They will be desperate to continue in power. I wonder what concessions the Lib Dems will be looking for in coalition talks ?

Where did all of these amazing Green Party candidates come from?

No one said they were amazing.

Momentum....and the Third World.

The reported discourse on whatsapp.

Catherine West - a former minister - writes: “I have asked Anna Turley as Chair of the Party for a reassurance that she has a plan for an orderly arrangement of change at the top of the party.”

Steve Reed replied, saying that doomscrolling through leaders would be “madness”.

West wrote back: “It can be orderly or disorderly but it's happening Steve.”

Isn't she brave now.

Catherine West is now putting herself forward to challenge Starmer. From Bloomberg's political editor: "

She tells the BBC she has 10 backers and will move against him if the cabinet doesn’t by Monday

Will be widely seen as a stalking horse rather than a credible threat."

Another timely volte face. In terms of opportunism, she almost puts David Lammy to shame.

She's deluded.

Very good schools by the sounds of some of them :-)

What prompted so many people to vote Green ?
