It seems Haringey Labour's online aggressor, Emina Ibrahim (formerly of this parish), has had her twitter account hacked today. These are not serious people.

Harringay ward candidate Olly's mummy, Melanie Gingell, has been successfully elected as a councillor in Alexandra Park. Labour love to keep it in the family.

Jamie Harper,

Why the pointless nastiness? Do you know anything factual about this family?
I have never met either of them, by the way.

But I can tell anyone who who wants to know that, from my own sixteen years as an elected councillor, the most productive joint working across party and across the council, depended on mutual respect, mutual listening, and basic common courtesies.

Well said Alan. No need for it to get personal.

Is she not his mother, Alan? And please save us your version of your political past. Those with memories know well enough how fickle your 'respect' of other councillors was.

Jamie Harper, I know nothing of Ollie's mother. You still haven't answered my question about why the nastiness. Try kindness instead.

Of course, like everyone else I have different views of my own past. Partly because my life has changed. But mainly because of the people I have been lucky enough to know and respect and love. And very very lucky to learn from them.

Maybe you think you know me. I doubt that's true.
Or I'm wrong and you use a pseudonym. Do reveal the mystery of "those with memories".
I do hope it's not some sad grudge by ex-councillors.
Why bother?  Nobody even recognises me or other such grey heads any more.

Ok Alan , well she's just been elected to represent Alexandra Park ward. Now you do know something about her.

I appreciate it's been a hard day for you but please do not project this Westminster media fiction of politics being a sport or some parlour game on me. It affects people, Alan.
This twee conceit that respect is deserved purely through participation in 'politics' is beneath me and the electorate. Your 'nastiness' is my deserved disdain.

Despite your constant claims of opposition to 'Starmer's Labour' you have carried water for the local MPs and selected councillors throughout the party's abject moral failings. That's your choice. But to expect others to share in your moral compromise is not realistic or rational.

Your (and Clive's) fixation with making criticisms targeted at individuals might well be a residue of your upbringing during which one 'bad man' was responsible for the WWII. According to you it's Keir's Labour, Netanyahu's Israel, Trump's America. This makes it so much easier for you to ignore the reality that certain Labour party members refused to speak out; that 92% of Jewish Israelis still give the IDF high praise for its management of the 'war'; that Trump won 49.5% of the popular vote etc.

I prefer consistency. If collective responsibility is assumed for successes, it ought to be assumed for failures. In my opinion, Zena, Anna, and Olly have failed in their individual responsibility to the truth, and collectively as members of the Labour Party. If you think that's nasty then, so be it.

Jamie Harper. Is it fun making up fiction, lies, and sneers; about people you don't know? Does it make you feel good? Give you a nice warm glow? To treat with "disdain" some of your neighbours. People who perhaps unlike yourself, put themslves forward to serve in a public role?

Your fabrications about what I think and say are becoming ever sillier and absurd.  Whether about Starmer or Netanyahu, no sensible person would imagine that they are "one bad man" acting alone. Obviously they wouldn;t get elected.

Not that you ever ask me. Never bother to check what I think and know. You carelessly post the opposite of truth here online. It appears there's some pleasure for you in just inventing some falsehood. And maybe helping to damage Haringey Online as a local website where people hope others write truth as they know it.  Or join the site to learn something fresh and interesting.
Instead you spread untruth and nastiness about other residents.

I didn't agreed with Labours track record or policies, but Olly was engaged and positive in every interaction I had with him. Olly was a great candidate and if her mum is half as good as he would have been Alexandra Park are lucky to have her.

Just because I had a significant disagreement with the ticket he was standing on doesn't mean I don't think he, and I'm sure his mum, would be great councillors for people who do agree with the Labour track record and manifesto.

Tottenham Hale's three seats have all gone to Green.

Crouch End's three seats gone to Lib Dem. Could Haringey end up NOC?

Why are so many wards taking so long to declare?
