Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Green Open Homes season is running for three weeks in November with insider advice, expert speakers, experiential insights and guided tours of local homes that have improved or are improving their domestic energy efficiency; by both hosts and architects.

It's all free and designed to encourage us all to reduce our emissions (and bills) and future-proof our homes: a key contribution to Net Zero that we can all be making.

Find out what's involved, what works and what it costs ... Get inspired, informed and encouraged ... Ask all those difficult questions from those who have done it ... See renewables in action and all the easy fixes along the way ...

Events include:

  • 45 tours of 10 trailblazing houses, across N6, N8 and N10, through two weekends (8th & 9th and 15th & 16th November), covering a wide range of homes, solutions and installations
  • 5 of them new to Green Open Homes, including period retro-fits, a garden flat and mid-construction builds, with the opportunity to see the bare bones of an energy efficient build
  • Architect-led tours of four stunningly designed homes, offering rare insights into the practicalities, science and creativity behind an eco-build
  • Three evenings of eight expert speakers (3rd, 10th & 17th November), from installers to creatives to researchers, including Bean Beanland (Heat Pump Federation & formerly of the Happy Heat Pump podcast with Evan Davies) and David James (Research Fellow at the trailblazing Energy House Lab, University of Salford)
