Green Lanes Crash Hospitalises Four
We were alerted by Twitter on Wednesday night (thanks @luptonn @mauwf) to a terrible crash on Green Lanes near Manor House tube.
The crash happened at just after 9:15pm, @Luptonn told us, "An impatient driver was trying to overtake and ran out of space. #StandardGreenLanesDriving". The speeding driver roared past the another car, hit the traffic island and smashed into the side of a 141 bus.
The bus and two cars were involved in the incident and two fire engines attended the scene. Five people were reported injured and four of them were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Keaton Chau from Tao Sports who happened to be passing as the accident happened described the scene of the accident as 'mayhem'. Thanks for the picture Keaton (hope you don't mind my adding your name to it).

Oh how awful. I remember reading somewhere that Haringey is the worst area in the UK for uninsured drivers, not sure if it's true.

An article in the Telegraph said that Police estimate 10% of drivers in London are uninsured with the hotspot being Tottenham.
