green lanes air conditioned restaurants?
Does anyone know which (if any) of the restaurants on Green Lanes have air-con? Our niece is over from Oz this evening and we want to show her the delights of the neighbourhood - without having to sweat our way through it... thanks!

Thanks everyone - we've just returned from Rakkas. No air-con, but reasonably cool somehow, possible because the interior is quite dark? Really rated it - good food and nice presentation, lovely staff, really nice interior - a bit different from most of the places - good music. We couldn't cope with the Shisha garden though, way too smoky!

What about Blend? It's probably more for great breakfast, small lunch and cake but definitely nice and cool and a treat for a critical Aussie when it comes to quality coffee. Probably a good show off ;-)

Sadly the food is somewhat wanting. A baguette the size of a finger roll and a lentil salad which was, well, lentils. I know this place is child friendly but the number of screaming kids who seem to be accompanied by parents who don't give a toss who they discomfort really turns me off this place. I was hoping for great things from Blend but it just seems to have turned into a place parents come with their kids and don't really give a hoot about any other paying customers. Rant over.
