Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Looks like they had a really successful Fungal Foray on Sunday.

Organised by the London Natural History Society and led by an expert botanist, the Foray is now in its 22nd year and is very popular. Beginning at Railway Fields, the foragers make their way around Haringey, visiting Tottenham Cemetery, Alexandra Park, and Queen’s Wood before returning to Railway Fields to cook up their finds. Friends of Ally Pally took some photos and have kindly given permission for us to share them with you. See the full set here

Many thanks Liz and Friends of Ally Pally, for the wonderful mushroom/fungal pictures. I have been many times to the Fungal Foray in the past but I missed this one unfortunately. Going out to pick and find the local mushrooms which you would never normally have the pleasure of seeing - let alone eating (in safety) at the end is the best! London Natural History Society is doing a great job at Railway Fields and  I encourage anyone who has not visited yet to go soon.
