Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Graffiti on the wall on the New River path, behind Wightman Rd is getting worse.

I understand that either Thames Water or the railway Co are responsible for maintaining the wall.

Anyone know who's responsible for the wall's upkeep?

Mebbe give it a month then see if we can prevail on Zena?

Here's the response, this morning.

Thank you for contacting us to request an update on when the graffiti will be removed from our wall.

Your enquiry was passed to the local maintenance team who apologise that the work did not take place when it was planned, the team were diverted to deal with safety critical work.

This work will be replanned when a team is available, we are unable to provide a date for this as it is dependant on safety critical faults and weather.

Up until this time, they've been very good at dealing with it. Something's changed.

Perhaps now's the time to get Zena involved. I'll flag this post to her and invite her to comment. You can email her at zena.brabazon@haringey.gov.uk

Just noticed this morning that the Graffiti has been obliterated - perhaps yesterday ?

Thank you for chasing this Hugh. And thank you Network Rail.

Yaay! Thanks for the update, John. I guess that means that what was a pretty unspoilt old brick wall up till about five or so years ago is now pretty much all covered with a sea of black paint: the lesser of two evils, but it’s a shame.

Ongoing graffiti issues now being updated on this post.
