I need to speak to the council tax people by telephone.
I phone 0208 489 1000 and go through the menus but every time I get cut off after a few minutes.
Does anyone have a better / more reliable number?
Thanks
Adam

No
It is hopeless. It is a minefield to negotiate. Also the recently re-furbished website is very difficult to navigate. It is so menu driven and must be impossible to use for many people. WE MUST HAVE A USEABLE AND EFFECTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER. We should all contact our ward councillors to complain
Hah, good luck. Have you tried following different menu options and trying to get someone from a different department on the phone? They might be able to give you a more direct number or email address. I went through this farce last month chasing up our energy rebate (which we still haven't received!)
I am trying to get through now, I select options 2 6 3 1 to get through, but each time they say, we cant take your call and try again later. I did go through to environmental services by mistake (trying to press the options quickly to save time!) but they just put me back into this system.
Has anyone ever managed to get to speak to anyone? Can we go in person to discuss?
