Get borough patriotic - Haringey socks for sale from Open City
Open City, the charity with a mission to make our architecture more accessible, has launched a range of three socks, one of which is emblazoned with the now defunct 1972 Haringey Council logo.
If this is your thing, then these organic bamboo socks are available for £8.00 at open-city.org. If you just can't get enough of civic hosiery, you can get the socks as part of a bundle that also includes Camden and London County Council socks, along with a bar of soap memorialising the former London-wide body.

Ah! The LCC ... the ILEA. I still have posters and stickers from the 1980s, when Thatcher was destroying all centres of opposition: Hands off the ILEA, Hands off the LCC, Hands off the Metropolitan Counties ... Like so many public organisations, swept away.
