Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I moved here a week ago and will want the whole garden done at some point in the spring but for the moment would like to have some idea abut what would it cost for someone to come and remove the bramble that grows at the back on a bit on the sides as per photo attached. Remove in a way that it does not regrow. I mean remove and take away to dispose.

Does anyone do free quotations for jobs like that please? I am not an expert for someone who knows what they are doing that is probably only a 1/2 day job.

Stroud Green area of N4. Thanks a lot.

You need to dig the brambles out and lift the soil. I don't think half a day is feasible but if it is a gardener will cost between £15- £25 per hour. They Bloom Gardens and they are excellent -  078 7074 8883 - http://www.bloomgardening.co.uk/

You could probably do this yourself if you don't mind spending a day or so of not particularly exciting work. Even if you get a gardener to do it, you'll need to pull up any brambles which reappear. Without wanting to be rude it looks like you've got some issues with your lawn too, possibly due to the trees behind your fence depleting your soil. You might need to give your garden some kind of revitalising dressing - mushroom compost is said to be very good. But it's new year's day, so the best advice would be to sit on this problem for a month or two until the weather gets nicer
