Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I have been keeping an eye on tinterweb and the FOFP website but can find no information on what happened in Court yesterday with their legal challenge against the Wireless Festival.  Does anyone know what happened?

Ha! Even before I reached the end of that link I just knew it would be Frinton.

How interesting, I've just (skim) read the grounds for permission and claim form. The Friends have got a top notch QC - I know the name. I'm a lawyer, but not in this area of law.

It's always hard to tell when you only read one side's pleadings, but it seems to me the Friends have an arguable case. I don't actually agree with them that events like Wireless should be banned, however, if the pleadings are correct then the Council have failed to abide by the policies in place for considering Wireless' application.

The application has a reasonable chance of success is my gut feeling. It's certainly not one of those no-hopers that many applications for Judicial Review are.

According to the councils Twitter page the council won!
Thank goodness for that. It went v quiet for a while!
Yup - wonder if the so called friends will calm down now
Bankruptcy could calm them down permanently
LCSP meeting tonight at 7 pm at Baptist Hall Green Lanes, and the Stakeholder meeting on traffic, + the FoFP, must be a full moon.
Couldn't go to either because of a Governors meeting. Definitely a full moon

I'm not a legal expert in any way but does not losing a high court case make it more likely events will be held in Finsbury Park and elsewhere as a precedent has been set.
Permission they are unlikely to get until they have settled the costs from the first round..
