Friends of Ally Pally Station Celebrate 10 Years of Community Rail in the Heart of Haringey

The Friends of Ally Pally Station will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a community event at Alexandra Palace Station on Sunday 7 June 2026 from 3pm to 5pm.

The anniversary celebration will bring together local residents, rail staff, volunteers and supporters for an afternoon of music, flowers, birthday cake, lemonade and community spirit at the station where the group first began. Special guests include Mayor of Haringey, Dawn Barnes, Catherine West MP and local councillors serving the local community.

All guests are invited to remain afterwards for informal drinks from 5pm at The Starting Gate pub adjacent to the station.

The event takes place on the final day of Community Rail Week 2026, a national celebration of the social value and local impact of community rail partnerships and station groups across Britain. The Friends of Ally Pally Station were previously selected as the flagship station group in London during Community Rail Week 2024, highlighting the role community rail can play in urban areas.

Attendees are asked to RSVP in advance for capacity and safety planning purposes.
