Free swimming lessons for Over 16s

Free courses for people who can't swim are to be offered to Haringey residents who are aged 16 and over.

The lessons will take place over six weeks and are on offer at Park Road, Northumberland Park and Tottenham Green swimming pools.

After completing the six-week course, customers will be encouraged to continue to learn to swim - with additional lessons starting at £1 a class, depending on the time of the class.

Anyone interested in the course can complete an e-form at www.haringey.gov.uk/leisurecentres and go to the 'Take the Plunge' section.

Confirmation will be sent for the swimming lesson they have been enrolled on.
