A private education is £12K per child. The local schools are free but obviously there could be something different about them given that so many parents send their children to private schools, especially private secondary schools. Why don't you start up a Jedi school and only allow children who are Jedi to go there? I think they're the ones that mostly leave for private schools.

LMFAOOOOO! That just made me choke on my own tongue in laughter!!!
I was actually trying to subtly make a point about the religious schools and the kinds of children (middle class, Star Wars Lego owning for example) that end up going private around here.
You subtle John ... Isn't it the foreigners who send their kiddies to fee paying schools?
They're only oversubscribed because of the sibling rule. There are not that many children in Harringay. You could fund it with childcare vouchers if it's after normal school hours, up to the age of 16. The key thing about childcare vouchers is that they come from your pre-tax income.
There is two form entry at SHIS and three form entry at NHS, this means that there is room for 135 kids in any given year. Both schools are over subscribed so the catchment is restricted to Harringay as far as I can work out but I really doubt that there were 135 five year olds in the traditional catchment zones last year so... I'm guessing that it was siblings as they get preference before the children closest to the school.
My mistake. I'm sure it has been three at some point recently. 108 5 year olds...
If anyone has anything constructive to say and is interested in setting up a free school for their children then please add me as a connection and direction message me...
Hugh could you put the post at the top of the discussion if that's possible...
