Hello HOL-lers, and a happy new year to you all.
I have four large pieces of furniture to give away, all with a dark brown walnut veneer finish and a charmingly retro air to them. They are in good order and perfectly serviceable, just not to our taste, and we want to move them out to give ourselves some more space.
The first three are large cabinets that are probably best described as audio-visual units, or entertainment cabinets. The first is roughly chest height, with a cupboard fronted by glass doors and another cupboard below that with wooden doors. Here it is with its doors shut:
and with doors open:
The second and third are quite similar: taller (perhaps 5'10"), with the same kind of glass doors up top and wooden doors down the bottom. One has a hinged door which looks like it would make a good place for a liquor cabinet. Here are two shots from slightly different angles:
And finally there is a large wardrobe, which has a delightful 1920s thing going on with its silhouette and which we had grand plans to paint in zazzy colours and put in our kid's room. But in the cold harsh light of January all that has come to naught so I am offering it here:
It has a rail inside and loads of space, but it is a heavy beast so you will need at least 2 people to move it, and probably a van unless you are quite close by.
We are a few minutes' walk from North Harringay school. If you're interested, send me a connection request or reply to this thread with an email address.
Great, it's yours. Glad it will go to a deserving home.
Sorry, just realised that there was a question in your reply that needed answering. I find it hard to know about whether it could fit up your staircase. I once got a 3 person sofa up and down three flights of stairs in a narrow terrace house ... but this wardrobe is a different shape, and I don't know the dimensions of your house. But, in case it's helpful, the wardrobe is 174 cm high, 117 cm wide and 46 cm deep. You're welcome to come and have a look at it first, if that would help. Send me a private message if you still want to take it, otherwise I'll offer it to someone else and if still no takers it will go onto Gumtree or Ebay.
