Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I don't want to buy Outlook so have been looking around for free email management software and am more bewildered that when I started. Mozilla Thunderbird looks good but I'm not sure.
I need something that will handle bring two email accounts I have (one is a iCloud account with a me.com suffix) in one place, I don't want to to keep switching between the two. Also the ability to have a decent file structure to store emails. I'm running on Windows 8.
Any ideas gratefully received.

I've used Mozilla Thunderbird for years and it works great, allows for multiple accounts, file structure, ... though this days, webmail is a more common way, Thunderbird will still do the trick on a PC.

Thanks for the reassurance Marc.

I also use thunderbird and fully recommend it.

gmail is so easy to use and manage multiple accounts

Ta, I'll probably test drive few ideas. I'm very use to Outlook though, as use it at work, so something with that kind of look and feel would probably work best for me.

Thunderbird works for me and my many aliases. You can easily make subfolders etc for filing.  If anyone knows a simple way to back it up I'd like to hear, there has to be a way? Outlook (and MS Office) has gone over to the annual licensing system so you pay for ever. I just mashed up my Outlook 2007 calendar and went into despair but was able to get a month's free trial of the new Outlook which repaired the mess, I can now cancel that and keep using the old one which i own outright - as much as you ever own software.  Any suggestions for free/open source calendars welcome, especially ones that link to Thunderbird.
