Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Haringey Council is offering cycle training and a chance to get your bike fixed for free in Finsbury Park during the summer.

Free bicycle maintenance sessions are scheduled to take place every Saturday throughout the summer, from 11am to 2pm.

Cycle training group sessions are also planned for Finsbury Park on the same Saturdays as the bicycle maintenance sessions. Prior booking is required to join the cycle training sessions.

Cllr Nilgun Canver, Cabinet Member designate for Neighbourhoods, said:

"We are keen get as many people as possible to use their bikes and these training sessions can help youngsters and others to feel more confident in the saddle."

You can book your cycle training place by calling Cycle Training UK on 020 7231 6005 or visit the Cycle Training UK website.

The dates are as follows:

22 May, 12 June, 3 July, 24 July, 14 August, 4 September, 25 September

These regular drop-in sessions will enable residents to bring their bicycle along for a maintenance check up and cycling advice.

Saturday 12 June

Bicycle Maintenance will be available from 12-5pm at the Haringey Green Fair on Ducketts Common (opposite Turnpike Lane Underground Station).

The following Cycle Maintenance sessions are planned for commuters as part of National Bike Week (external link) (19-27 June) on the following dates between 4pm and 7pm:

* Monday 21 June
Finsbury Park (by TfL's secure cycle parking unit)
* Tuesday 22 June
Crouch End Broadway
* Wednesday 23 June
Manor House in association with Haringey Cycling Campaign.
* Thursday 24 June
Markfield Park (on the River Lea towpath)
* Friday 25 June
Finsbury Park (by TfL's secure cycle parking unit)
