Hello all
Yes that is true FOOD from the SKY needs a new temporary HOME and fast!
The roof on which we have been pioneering, growing, teaching and learning for the last 4 years is in need of major repair. We need to move everything ... somewhere near by ... as soon as possible. We will keep trading with Crouch End Budgens providing our delicious produce as well as the local cafes and restaurants we are in business with.
We had a meeting recently with Budgens regarding the state of the roof and gladly we were reassured that our activities was not the reason for the state of the roof but merely that it is an old roof and needs to be investigated and go through a complete repair. We have an agreement that there is a possibility for us to come back on the roof when the the space is fit for an urban farm .
So what does it mean and what do we need?
URGENT:
We need a temporary growing space of roughly 400m2 in North London by March!
We need you lovely people to come and help dismantle the garden.
We need a crane, a truck and other helpful machine to get 15 tonnes of compost, trees, boxes, growing containers etc...off the roof

Hi there
Just a couple of thoughts - the Meadow Orchard Project on Park Road is a secure site and had a fair amount of land available when I was last there. And Wolves Lane Nursery had empty space in its greenhouses - but that was last autumn.
Regards
