Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The council will swiftly repair defective street lamps if residents report their location.

All broken street lights will be repaired within three and a half working days of them being reported to the council, where possible, says the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Cllr Nilgun Canver.

The council also has an agreement with EDF Energy for them to fix any electrical supply failures to street lamps within 20 working days of notification, although occasionally complex technical problems may take more time.

To report a street light failure contact the council with the street name and house number near to the street lamp, along with the identity code number attached to the column.

Also, please notify the council of lights that stay on during the day as this is wasting electricity and shortens the life of the lamp, adding to maintenance costs.

Please also report immediately if you see a missing panel and exposed wires, a lighting column knocked down or left bent and leaning and any other emergency defects.
