Every Monday evening, our regular fish supplier, Craig Stevens, comes by appointment to deliver fresh fish. He's a Grimsby man and he picks up stock from Billingsgate.
Craig tells me that he has a few customers in the ladder. I can't say that his fish is cheap, but it is good and reliable. Moreover, if we are after a particular thing, we can call him to place an order.

We've been buying fish from Craig for more than 20 years. The fish is superb - always much fresher than you can buy in any fish shop so we always look forward to supper on Monday (and often Tuesday) night.

As it happens, Andrew, I have never made a price comparison systematic or otherwise. We simply ask him to say what is good value at the time. You could try calling him I suppose.
