Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
First collection of new big recycling bin did not go so well..
Yesterday morning was the first time Veolia were due to empty my new massive recycling bin. Did they manage? No. They emptied the food recycling bin, and did not touch the new green one.
Have reported it, hopefully they'll come back and sort it.
Anyone else had this problem yet? Seems they don't know they have to empty them now, they're no used to them being there with nothing in them..

Yep, we had exactly the same issue. Big green bin now completely full after 2 weeks.

All went well in Kirkstall Avenue, off Phillip Lane. Bin was very full. Bin was emptied!

Veolia called me. "Teething problems" apparently. Why? It's not like collecting recycling is new to them, it's just a differently shaped bin..

might have been less confusing for them if they'd taken the old ones at the same time as delivering the new ones

ditto, both big bins (for us on the ground floor and our neighbours on the top) are now full to bursting.

We had a similar problem, but ours was collected for thr first time on Tuesday after 2 missed weeks.

No problems where we were. Some people even left out te old smaller green box and Veolia emptied those too. They were a day late though.

In the blub in our leaflets, it said they would only start using the new ones from the 22nd June, probably the same all round.
