Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This work will see the installation of two new lifts to serve platforms 3/4 and 7/8, which will mean that, when complete, the entire station will finally have step-free access. Based on how long the previous lift installation works took, some time in late 2022 is when I'd expect the work to be finished (this isn't a snarky comment but one reflecting the complexity of the work).

I did use 'finally' pointedly, though; Finsbury Park is a heavily used station as well as a complex one with the Tube platforms too, and it's been a candidate for such work for a long time.

Other improvements:

Updating the signs making it easier for people using the station.
Laying tactile paving along the platforms and improving the floor surfacing.
Upgrading the platform lighting.
Additional CCTV cameras.
Moving the gate line from Platform 3/4 to the entrance in Station Place, making it easier for people to move through the station.

The work will not affect rail services.

Great to hear. I wish more stations were accessable.

Although trying to use the train in rush hour as a wheelchair user is impossible and not safe.
