Hello HoLlers
Thank you to those of you who made our first screening. The turnout was great; the feedback, kind and encouraging.
On Sunday May 12th, we'll be screening the 1953 classic The Wages of Fear, a tense thriller set in South America (tho filmed in the South of France!) where four men, down on their luck and on the edge, take on a dangerous driving job for an American Oil company, transporting could-blow-any-minute nitro-glycerine on some seriously rocky roads. Directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot, the film picked up a clutch of awards including: the Grand Prize at Cannes (1953), the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival (1953) and a BAFTA for Best Film in a Foreign Language (1955).
Tickets are on the door at £3; £1.50 student concession.
Doors open 8pm, films starts 8.30pm.
Look forward to seeing some of you there.
