Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

It's that time of year again! Year 7 entry school applications.

We live fairly equidistant between Park View, Skinners and Greig City schools, and would have been within their 2023/24 year cut-off distance. Have attended all the open mornings, done the research on exam results and post-school outcomes, and produced a list of pros and cons for each option. None of our child's friends have older siblings however, so we've not got many first-hand stories from current parents at our local senior schools.

Would love to hear from any parents of existing pupils at these schools as to how both you and your children are finding the experience.

Thank you to anyone who is willing to share!

Both my children went to Park View and did pretty well - my son left last year and went to Woodhouse, having achieved good exam results. Park View has lively drama and music departments and they put on concerts regularly(My daughter left a few years ago to go to City and Islington and is now studying drama in Manchester having been very involved with the drama department at PV) . It depends what your child is interested in and their temperament I think. Each school has its strengths and weaknesses but I always found Park View very responsive if there were issues. My son made lots of local friends there too.

Thanks Liz, we were impressed by their drama and music on the open morning tour.
