Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Experience the Dawn Chorus at Railway Fields this Saturday 25th April at 5am

Please meet at the gates of Railway Fields NO LATER than 5am (Gates will be locked once the walk begins). Dawn is at 5.07am so we will begin promptly.

We welcome children and young people to take part but please note that any child under 16 must be accompanied by a parent and that their safety is your responsibility as we walk around the site.

As it is early in the morning, please wrap up very warm and bring umbrellas and raincoats. Suitable footwear should be worn that is easy to walk in and will keep your feet warm and dry. Walking shoes/boots or comfy trainers are recommended. Even if it rains the birds are still singing! We will still go ahead if it is raining but please dress appropriately and bring umbrellas. You can check our social media: Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky for updates. Search Friends of Railway Fields.

Technology can really help us to learn, so we recommend you download the Merlin App from here to your smartphone (if you have one) as we will be using as part of the walk.

Birdex is also fun for keeping lists of your sightings.

Feel free to bring binoculars, bird books and your own knowledge to the gathering.

We will have a gentle guided walk together but you will also be encouraged to walk around the site to explore and listen alone.

Tea and coffee will be available after the walk in the cabin. The event will end around 6am.

The event is free but we welcome donations. You can pay with a card, cash or via a QR card. Please speak to a steward on the day to make a donation.

Please note there is no car parking on the site

Please email friendsofrailwayfields@gmail.com if you have further questions.
