CRAFTERNOON TEA SPECIAL, Sunday 15th April

2-4pm, Islington Ecology Centre. Marking the opening of the new Islington Timebank Cafe, which will be here every Sunday. THAT'S RIGHT every Sunday! - unless there's a match on. Zoe, Jo and Claire from TFP will be there to illumate the lesser know vagaries of the Hackney, Haringey and Islington recycling creteria i.e. what CAN you put in your recycling box? Free.

 

WOMEN'S CHOIR, Monday 16th April

7.30-9pm, St Thomas's Church, St Thomas's Road, N4 2QP Fun, informal choir. Charge a couple of quid to cover hall hire. Led by the lovely Ann Flett.

URBAN HARVEST FORAGING WALK, N4 TO N6 Saturday 21st April

1-3pm, meet Finsbury Park entrance to Parkland Walk. Finish at Holmesdale Road end (N6) and stop for foraged refreshments. Seasonal: Lime leaves; Hop shoots; Dandelion flowers; Hogweed; Nettles etc. Join us along the way if you don't fancy walking the whole length. Free.

 

PHOTOGRAPHING NATURE Sunday 22nd April

2-4pm, Green Lens Studios, 4a Attebury Road, N4 1SF The start of spring is the perfect time to get out and take photos so we’ll be heading to Finsbury Park to make the most of it. DRAMA AND THE ENVIRONMENT: mappa mundi drama arts group

Az Theatre is forming a local drama and arts group based in Holloway. We'll use theatre and drama to express the impact of environmental change on people’s lives. The group is open to people who are interested in acting and who want to use their talent to explore the issue of climate change and environmental resource depletion (the using up of the world’s natural and energy resources). Also welcome if you like: writing, music, singing, design, photography, video, dance and web design. Taster sessions June/July 2012, then twice weekly sessions for 8 weeks, September/October and a videod performance.
