Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Drive Now are winding down by the end of February. Other than Zip Car, are there any other local car share schemes? I’m gutted that there’s now less, rather than more car share schemes round here.

There's Enterprise car club and Ubeeqo but I don't see them often. ZipCar Flex is now in Haringey so got a whole lot more useful.

Otherwise there's those carsharing apps where you borrow other peoples cars, like Drivy and Turo. I haven't used them.

That's a pain, DriveNow was much more convenient than carclubs like Enterprise and Ubeeqo that require you to return their vehicle to a fixed location (and I don't think those two have any locations on the Ladder anyway?)

Hopefully ZipCar Flex will be able to expand into the gap in the market now.

Walk. It's better for you.

Our family mainly walk everywhere but it’s not always an option, especially on a cold, wet winter night with a small/tired/ill child, or when needing to do a food shop/move large items etc.

  • We love the convertible minis that Drive Now have. It’s always a treat to get a car to go anywhere, we only use it once or twice a month & having the convertible made it even more exciting!
We’ve had such bad service from Zip Car though & their cars would often have rubbish on the seats/floors & smell of cigarette smoke.

Ubeeqo is very competitively priced. It's the cheapest provider I've seen. However, last time I used one the interior was covered in pet hair! My eyes were itching it was so bad and I had to change vehicles. Other than that, my experience of them has been very good.

Hiyacar looks good- haven't used it yet, but have signed up.  It's like Airbnb for cars, so it's great from an environmental point of view, as you're using cars that already exist but aren't being used.
