Empty Woolies to be used for art exhibitions June 22/23.

Beatty Properties will stage two art exhibitions - Unexpected Signs and Location of Other Realms - in the store, on Monday, June 22 from 10am-5pm and Tuesday, June 23 from 10am-7pm.
It is the first solo exhibition of London-based artist Josephine Lyons and presents 20 works and paintings produced between 2007 and 2009.
With its finger right on the cultural pulse, the art draws on modern social phenomena such as the demise of the much-loved Woolies brand - to many an iconic image of the British high street.
An exhibition spokeswoman said: "The works on the whole aim to note, observe, and reflect some of the changing times, and use the space in its transient state, and to hopefully provide some of the ideas and feelings found within story telling.

I came across a Flickr page for Live at the Apollo in Herne Hill. A former - empty - video store which has been turned into an arts venue. Website here.
Anyone been there or to other similar initiatives?
I hope there's a network which can pass on experience and tips and generally spread the word.
