Just watched a guy dump a huge amount of rubbish right outside his house on Seymour.
Asked him why - he said he is fed up waiting for his landlord to sort it out, so he has shifted it from the front garden onto the pavement so he can sit out (and admire the lovely view..). Broken mirrors, the lot.
3 of us tried to reason with him but he doesn't see it as his problem. Flipping unbelievable. Have reported it to Haringey, just wanted to rant.
Who is liable for that? I can't believe this guy will be able to pay any kind of fine.

I think it might be worthwhile asking Enforcement staff, Alison.
If the property company (managing agents?) have been helpful then maybe they deserve some credit. Although not, of course, if they've been repeatedly ignoring tenants' requests until prodded by Haringey Enforcement.
As you know, there's an ongoing issue: that efficiently and speedily removing dumped rubbish deals only with the 'symptoms' of the problem. While operating like a negative feedback loop - a perverse incentive for some people to dump more.
Alison, we managed to get Limelight once, we can get them again. Let's get on to the Property company. We can get them too.
What p***es me off more than anything is that this house was illegaly converted under our noses, and then got a COL 3 months after the 4 year limit. ARGH!
Hi Bushy, If Haringey Council are using private housing and the owners and/or management company are not up to standard, I strongly suggest contacting the Council's housing complaints team: housing.complaints@haringey.gov.uk
I also think that when owners/ managers are doing a good job and are responsive and helpful, this should be acknowledged as well. Not least by posting here. It helps when we recognise and encourage socially responsible companies which are "good neighbours".I've just had this response from Veolia

Once again thank you for your e-mail and should you have any further queries/complaints please do not hesitate to contact us on 020 8885 7700 between 8.30am to 5.30pm (Monday – Friday) or alternatively via email at enquiries.haringey@veolia.co.uk
Update on this: Had an email from Brian Ellick today. They are "investigating". And will get the rubbish cleared soon. Not realising it's already gone. The house is used for temporary accommodation. That's 2 houses of a row of 3 used for this purpose on our road. I could cry!
I am not sure why they need to investigate, as I was a witness. Surely they have enough to prosecute? A couple of witnesses as well as photos? Any ideas..? If they do not prosecute anyone I will be absolutely furious.
