This may be old news* to many but I couldn't help but admire this splendid mandarin duck on Park Road as I took my first walk of 2021.
The artist is local, lives near Turnpike Lane, and was commissioned by the homeowner to do the painting, who fundraised for it. His name is James Straffon, as you can see painted at the bottom of the duck.
It's my understanding that this is part of a wider initiative from Tidy Up Tottenham using street art to design out dumping hotspots by making them look cared for and attractive. Other murals have appeared across N15 and are part of the London Mural Festival.

*In my defence, we have been locked into our house for a month due to the family catching Covid (we're all fine now, I'm relieved to say).
