Drought Warning Issued...for Cider Drinkers!

As a cider drinker (or should that just be drinker?), I am saddened to see that a cider drought warning has been issued following the disastrous flooding in apple country this winter.

Farmers in the West of England will have to wait until May to see if their apple trees have dried out sufficiently to flower. Not only will that this affect this year's cider harvest but could also affect them for several years to come.

This is bad news for lovers of scrumpy across the land.

Another report states that the treacle mines of norfolk were also affected by flooding causing the price of treacle tarts to soar
