Hi.
My dog was attacked by an unleashed dog this evening on St Anne’s road shortly after 8.15. If anyone witnessed the attack can you please get in touch. It happened just opposite the Salisbury pub outside the small fruit/veg shop.
I think the breed of the unleashed dog is a bulldog.
Thanks

I didn’t see the attack itself but I heard your (understandable) distress which was urgent enough to bring me to the window. If it helps, after you’d left, the guy that was sat on the dog when I first looked then quite aggressively remonstrated with someone out of my sight (outside the pub, it seemed) - presumably they’d said something about it being off the lead. I imagine those are the folk who hopefully are on HOL and can help you out.
Most importantly, are you and your dog okay? You looked very shaken as you walked down the road.
The owner was male, wearing a cap and very thin. I’m afraid I didn’t stay around at all after & was in such a state that I didn’t even speak to any of the people there. The man I’ve described was pinning the dog to the ground as I ran off with my dog.
When you say Bulldog do you mean American Bulldog cross? In colour a sort of light tan, size larger than your typical staffie?
Owner male, about 5’10’’ tall, thin, mixed race with! light coloured pock-marked skin, Sallow complexion, scruffy appearance,. Deep and close set eyes. (Sounds like Bill Sykes, right?).
My dog was attacked and my neighbours’ cat swiftly despatched by such a dog and owner This was a few years ago but I’ve seen it since. It was reported to police but I only got any attention by stressing I was injured too. At time I was walking with a stick and pulled over as my (leashed) dog attempted to run away.
nasty and dangerous combo and he NEVER changes, always lets it run around, probably likes watching it wreak havoc. If that was him, PM me I’ll give you details so police can link this attack and the cat murder. This guy needs pulling in. In fact it shocks me that the local police can’t instantly ID him.
Hi Gina.
ive sent you a connection request. Thanks.
Thanks for this.
My dog has some puncture wounds & soft tissue and muscle damage. I think she’s actually quite lucky to be alive. We’re both quite traumatised by what happened. It was so unprovoked. The police are coming round shortly. I’m hoping they’ll be able to find the owner of the dog. I haven’t a clue why someone would allow an animal like that to walk off lead.
