Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi there, I've recently moved from N8 to N4 and am looking for a new doctor's surgery to register at.  The NHS website comes up with a very mixed bag of reviews so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm with West Green Surgery as it seemed to get the best reviews on the NHS website. The receptionists can be pretty useless-bordering-on-rude at times, but I've seen two doctors there and both have been absolutely lovely - they listened and didn't rush the appointment, things that I've found can be common occurrences at other surgeries.

I have found the doctors at bridge house surgery excellent but have been bit disappointed with the nurse 'triage' system on reception that has been introduced recently. Basically a nurse mans reception to protect the doctors from time wasters but that seems to be anyone needing an appointment.

I haven't been subjected to nurse triage. My experience with the doctors at bridge house is that they are excellent. Its hard to get an appointment and waiting times are very long, but I think that's part of London life. I doubt anywhere else is much better in terms of that. I find the receptionists a little defensive but I don't blame them. Its a tough job. They are professional and good hearted on the whole. Some of my friends are at the Laurels, a lovely shiny new building, but apparently not a great patient experience.

Thanks all I really do appreciate it!  I wish people would put positive comments as well as negative ones on the NHS website!!

I've been at the Cedar Practice (on Green Lanes south of Manor House) for years. The receptionist can be a bit grumpy but the doctors are great.
