Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

New planning guidance will oblige councils' to look at the provision for cars and the use of measures to reduce the number of cars in town centres through parking restrictions and traffic calming. The minister, Eric Pickles said "Town Halls need to ditch their anti-car dogma. Making it easier to park will help support local shops, local jobs and tourism."

And isn't there a huge car park for Council staff behind the Civic Centre ?

Yup. Plus a few spaces for councillors at the front. During council meetings they can park in the rear carpark.

There are a few spaces at River Park House - including for councillors near where homeless people sometimes sleep near the heating ducts.
