A diagonal pedestrian crossing is being introduced in Wood Green to help commuters directly cross over from the underground station to the Morrison's side of the High Road.
The crossing will be built with £400K provided by TfL to improve pedestrian accessibility at this busy junction.
The proposed scheme includes:
A public exhibition will be held on 4 February 2010 in the Gallery at Wood Green Library between 5pm and 8pm outlining the proposals.
Officers from the council will be present to answer all queries related
to the scheme.
The work is scheduled for February 2010 and will take approximately 16 weeks to complete. An assessment of the changes to the crossing found there would be no significant impact on traffic.
