Twice - not so recently; back when Irek and Mirek first set up here from Poland. They did a good job remodelling our bathroom and a great job painting our house. Nice guys, reasonably priced. The painter they used was meticulous.

Hi

I had my bathroom re done in August (subsequently kitchen) by some Polish builders.

They were fantastic - great price, perfect work. Guy is called Arek - www.builtbyarcadia.com

looks expensive but is not.  I live abroad and organized a lot of the work from there for my sister

who lives in the house (and has disabilities ).  It was not easy for me but with their help all went well.

I am using Decoracus right now to do a large extension and kitchen. It's involved quite a lot of structural work and will include all the fitting and finishing.

Shemek (one of the senior guys) is running the project and is very friendly, knowledgable and smart. They have worked well with my engineer and architect, often suggesting sensible alternatives for some things. They are also happy to work with my preferred electrician (Edward Gravett - found through another recommendation on HOL and again highly recommended).

Obviously I can't comment on the overall completed state (though some of their work I reviewed was excellently finished), but so far I can't fault them.

Price-wise, their quote was reasonable, but not mega-cheap. But they are doing it properly and using good materials.

I used them to get my bathroom refurbished last year and they did a mostly very good job: tiling and finish were excellent. The only downside was a few problems with the toilet.

Price was reasonable and transparently done, though when I got them to quote for a kitchen and some other work, they came in a bit high.

I havent used these people but over the past ten years I have used Mick Davis and his team (painters, plasterers, carpenter, electrician etc.) They have just about done all my flat including a completely refitted kitchen and as I write are just finishing off major work in my living room.

They pay attention to detail and do a great clean up at the end. Mick's number is  07774644823 if you want to get an additional quote.

I think they've come a long way since I spoke to them over 7 years ago about an extension to my Victorian house, when the suggested building it in breezeblock and facing it with sheets of plastic, vac-formed brick.
