Dear cat owners ....
.... For weeks now we have had a pair of robins nesting in our ivy. They put up with my family going in and out of the garden, danced around us, flitting here and there, always busy. It's been an absolute joy.
No more. The baby robins are dead.
If you've got a cat, put it on a leash. Our bird populations are getting decimated. Keep your cat inside or don't have one at all. Otherwise you, not the cat, are responsible for our declining wildlife.

We have had birds nest in our garden and it was the cats that got 'em. The same cats that crap all over our garden - which is lovely. It is odd the amount of outrage that is stirred up by dog poo - but its pampered domestic cats that crap in my garden every day.

Stephen, who knows. It's mainly about the pretty birdies who brought such joy and then died one day. Ano no one saw whoddunit. Who knows, maybe they choked on their own vomit. Or maybe the butler did it. Or maybe spontaneous combustion. Or a freak explotion. Or another bird. Or an evil, murderours human. Or a squirrel. Or a rat. Or a fox. Or a cat. Or hey, a motorist!

We've had many conversations on this site about dogs and their urge to crap where they feel like it. Harringay Passage for example and rightly people expect dog owners to take responsibility for their dog's crap, pick it up and put it the bin.
Why is it that cat owners feel no responsibility for dealing with the actions of their cats (exception thus far: Anna), such as crapping all over the place and killing wildlife? If a dog goes and mauls a cat all hell breaks loose.
