Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Dead pigeon under Harringay Green Lanes bridge won't rot. Its been there for many months and shows barely any signs of decomposition. Why could this be?

(Yes, it's on Google Maps...)

Feathers don't rot like flesh does, and stay attached to the (by now) mummified skin. No fox yet has abseiling skills to carry it off. The bridge is inspected periodically by Network Rail, you'll have to wait until then.

Here's the kicker though: "such as on the pavement". This one's 20 feet above the pavement...

My son says this has been there since at least 2021, and he's very keen that this important local landmark is not removed.

As am I
