Why on the basketball court? Last sunday I wanted to play basketball with my kid and all the courts where busy. At least in the other ones they were playing basket...

I believe you have to book sessions for basketball. Sabrina has booked and paid for her Zumba sessions and it’s only a hour on Saturday and Sunday. It brings many a lot of pleasure.

I dont think you can book, courts are open all day, just show up and play. So the things are two: 1)she's using a free public space that's been built for a different use and she's making money out of it 2) the council is booking basketball courts  for other sports and it's a disgrace.

There’s a separate discussion here on dog walking in Finsbury Park where private exercise classes have taken over the dog training area.  I’m sure these people are having a lovely time but they are taking over public spaces for their own profit.

The two half size courts can be booked for free.  On the booking website it specifically says the booking is for basketball practice - no other use is mentioned.
