A few weeks back I posted that I'd contacted my MP, Lynne Featherstone re Simon Danzckuk's book concerning Cyril Smith and the Rochdale child abuse issues.

She was good enough to reply and we agreed to differ - but not much.

I've more recently asked whether she intended supporting the call for an all-party enquiry into historical child abuse, to cover the key cases which have left questions unanswered.

Again, she replied promptly, advising me that she is unable as a Minister to join campaigning groups, but that she would pass my concerns on to Theresa May, which she did.

Given the recent top notch performance from Sir Leon "Memory Man," Brittan, I shall be interested to see where we go from here.

I shall, of course, post here any further correspondence which ensues.
