We had the pleasure on Thursday last (30th April) of attending a performance of Tchaikovsky's string sextet in the drinking hall of the Goodness Brewing Company less than a mile from home. I am ashamed to say that I had never heard of this establishment which is in Coburg Road close to the chocolate factory and which produces a range of excellent beers. See: https://thegoodnessbrew.co/
The space did not seem ideal for a classical concert and we feared that the clientele might be noisy. In fact, the atmosphere was excellent and informal. The concert lasted only about 40 minutes which left plenty of time for beer and pizza cooked to order on the premises.
We only heard about it because a friend's daughter was playing so I knew several people there and we had a good time. The playing was full, professional standard:

That looks great! Were the acoustics OK in there though? Big fan of the place
The high-ceilinged warehouse-like space was certainly an unlikely setting and was pretty noisy before the performance got going. Oddly enough, it worked OK and we were relieved that the ensemble didn't have to compete with conversations going on. Sadly, I heard it said that the brewery will have to leave these premises.
