Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Council ponders blanket 20mph

A small panel of Councillors from Haringey Council's Overview and Scrutiny are currently looking at the possibility of the Council introducing a default 20 mph speed limit across the borough. This would apply to all residential roads. In streets not already within 20 mph zones and subject to physical calming measures (e.g. speed humps), enforcement would be by signage alone.
The panel are keen to obtain the views of a range of local organisations with an interest in this area. They are holding a meeting for this purpose and I would like to invite you to come along and participate. The meeting will take place on Monday 13 December at 2:00 p.m. at the Civic Centre, High Road, Wood Green, N22 8LE. Meetings are generally conducted in a relatively informal manner. It is envisaged that the meeting will finish by around 3:30 p.m. I would be very grateful if you could let me know if you are able to come along. If you are unable to make it, you would be very welcome to send in any views that you may have by e-mail or post if you so wish. Your assistance with this would be very much appreciated.

I guess if anyone wants to go, call up and say you're from the biggest (2nd biggest perhaps after HFRA) community group in the borough.

I was walking down Fairfax road when a small truck flattened the hump at 18561085mph and I felt the ground shake, it would be good to get the views of those who are living on roads with humps (do you think they damage homes?).
