Connecting 'Then and Now' in Downhills Park
In tomorrow's Cafe Connect it's time to sift out those old pictures of yourselves.

I heard your bark ,across the park,I thought we could be friends......So I ran out, and pushed my snout,Up your non-barking end!
Let's try and put into words a connection with `Our Downhills Then & Now`.
It could be like a love letter, a memory of first setting foot into the park...
Paper & pencils will be provided, you bring your photos,( a babe in arms, with your family /siblings, sunday best with parents?)
Start there, then there'll be a photograph of you in the context of this park, finally you will write a verse or two,...about any aspect of where you like to go in Downhills to meet your friends.
Looking forward to that, meanwhile there'll be books and sepia photos of Tottenham to trigger the imagination.

Does Lordship Recreation Ground still exist? I spent many happy hours there when I was a kid. "In 1938, the Minister of Transport opened a 'model traffic area' where children can learn about road traffic in a safe environment," says Wikipedia. This photo was taken in around 1949-1950.
