Community Clean Up Day on Saturday – Richard Hope Play Space in Finsbury Park

Can you find time this Saturday to support The Friends of Finsbury Park’s community clean up of the The Richard Hope Space (‘rocky play area near the playground’) and playground?

Date: This Saturday 15th October from 10.30am-12.30pm.

Meeting place: 10:15am at the Park’s Yard (On the left as you walk to the playground from the Hornsey Gate entrance)

Equipment: Please bring gloves if you can. Litter pickers and bags will be supplied by the park.

Start in the Hope Space and, if there are enough people, move into the playground too (for litter collecting, weeding, raking the sand etc)

FoFP hope to make this a regular event with plans to apply for a small grant to organise regular clean ups and fun activities for kids, and they will shortly be launching a consultation in order to secure funding for much needed repairs and reinstatement of the area.
