Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi All

I am a small artisan cheese maker looking for a small scale food producing premises to lease within the Haringey area. And I am struggling to find anything.

I live in the area and am keen to stay in the Haringey area - this is my town/community - and I don't really want to leave.

Can anyone help me please

Thank you for your reply and yes of course I will keep you informed - it will be a pleasure

Hi Philip,

Have you tried Haringey Business Development Agency?

http://www.hbda.org.uk/about/about_us.html

One of their stated services is to help businesses find premises in the borough.

I hope that helps,

Helen

Hi Helen, thanks for the lead. I have tried to contact these people but as yet no reply. I hope they haven't disappeared.
Lol
I can't stop thinking of Life of Brian
whats so special about the cheesemakers?
.....see BBC4 this Saturday at 9pm!!! Life of Brian and good cheeses are some of my favourite things, so let us know when you are in business Philip.
Always look on the bright side of life.
Blessed are the cheese makers
There are vacant lots on the two mini-industrial estates near to me in Seven Sisters - the Rangemoor Ind. Estate and the Fountayne Business Park - both of them off Broad Lane/Tottenham one-way. I guess LBH would have contact info. And there must be thousands of other vacant square metres around at the moment.

Hi Philip

You may have found somewhere already but we're about to open a new cafe, bar and gallery on Myddleton Road in Bowes Park. We've managed to buy a property but we were about to lease a place, which used to be a clothes factory. It's listed on this site for way more than the owner is prepared to accept and the space is massive or there is a separate smaller retail unit at the front. I guess you'd have to do a change of use but might be worth it.

Myddleton Road

Good luck!

When you've found somewhere do contact us at info@thestep.co.uk - we're looking for local suppliers of all things yummy.

Thanks
Nell
I second the suggestion of the industrial estate south of Broad Lane, N15. It's pretty big, and I regularly see 'to let' signs on units. There are a wide variety of businesses including a Chinese noodle factory, as well as the more usual clothing/light industrial/artists' studios/evangelical churches. And the transport links are excellent 5 - 10 minutes from both Seven Sisters tube and South Tottenham overground, as well as lots of buses.
