Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Come on a spider safari at St Ann's Hospital Green Spaces this Sunday!

Join Friends of St Ann's Green Spaces (StAGS) and Edward Milner, London Natural History Society’s Spider Recorder on a safari around the green spaces of St Ann's Hospital.

Edward’s survey of St Ann’s Hospital site began in 2019 . He found 59 different species of spider, including 2 Red Book (extremely rare) species and 5 Nationally Notable species.

He also made a partial list of beetles, not yet completed, and centipedes too.

Edward will lead a walk, surveying as he goes and he would love for you to join him in his quest.

Time is running out for the invertebrate count and other ecological surveys, with a large scale housing development to begin construction next year.

StAGS would like to see these important ecological surveys carried out before it’s too late and you can help.

Book now for Sunday 30th October at 10.30 on Eventbrite

Children under the age of 16 please bring an adult.

Please also bring a magnifying lens if you have one.

Parts of the woodland reservation path are muddy – wear appropriate shoes!

Meet just inside the new Hospital entrance. Weather permitting – check updates on social media @St Ann’s Green Spaces.

Suggested donations for the Spider event are £10- £20. You can support StAGS' activities by making a one-off donation of any size.

All donations directly fund the education and campaign programmes that StAGs are running.

Your donations make a difference, and your support is greatly valued and appreciated.

Unfortunately due to this morning’s rain this walk is postponed until a later date.
