London Metropolitan Brass is a new brass band, based in North London. We are always on the lookout for more players, whether experienced or coming back to playing after a break. Rehearsals are on Friday evenings 7:45 pm to 9.45 pm at Muswell Hill Methodist Church. The band is conducted by Paul Hooper a teacher and professional musician of over fifteen years and currently principal Trombone of the Irish Guards band.
We have an exciting 2014 ahead, including a number of gigs in our local community, more widely across London and beyond. The band has a vibrant social scene with regular pub trips, social outings, barbeques and parties.
If you don't currently play a brass instrument but would like to learn, we have a beginners band where we can teach you free-of-charge. Instruments are available to borrow. Beginners sessions take place on Wednesday evenings at Cufos, near Alexandra Palace 7:45-9:45pm. Come and give it a go - it is never too late to learn!

After a busy summer with lots of gigs in the local community (highlights for me include playing in the Grove and the debut performances for our beginners band), we are looking forwards to Remembrance and Christmas.
If play a brass instrument, used to play, or fancy learning, there's never been a better time to come along and join us. Our Beginners' band has gone from strength to strength this summer - we've now taught over 30 people to play from scratch, free of charge.
If you're looking for a band for the Christmas season, please get in touch! We are always on the lookout for opportunities to play in the local community.
