Coincidence?

I recently posted an email chain between myself and two councillors on a group i set up. I did not blank out my email address. Lo and behold since then I have been receiving reams of spams and 419 scams.

Hmmm. Admin please edit out my email address if possible.

Done Ben. A couple of points:

1. We'd always recommend people to think before posting any personal info. online. Where we notice it we draw it to people's attention to it. For what it's worth, we also remind people in our terms of service not to reveal personal information such as addresses, telephone numbers, or email addresses in open forum.

2. People have posted addresses on HoL for business contact and we've not heard of any issue before. So, yes, it may well just be a coincidence - or you were very unlucky.

Bloody annoying. Hope it eases up.
