354 of the most disadvantaged children in Haringey are on #MetXmasTree appeal list.
Can you be a secret santa and donate a present into one of the Haringey police stations (unwrapped) or go to met.police.uk/christmastree to be allocated a child.
100 x
are pledged - 254 needed.
Deadline is 12 Dec.

Thanks for highlighting this scheme. I'm delivering my contribution this morning into Hornsey Police Station. It's a really effective way of making sure that a gift directly goes to the children who most need it. I do it every year...

This is such a nice idea! Do you know if you can specify the age and / or gender you want to buy for? I ask because I bought a gift on a whim thinking I might donate it via a foodbank or somesuch, but this would be better. However, it's a soft toy so not suited for older children.

Rachel, if you register to be allocated a child you do not get a choice - you are simply given gender and age with reference number. But you can also just drop an (unwrapped) present in a gift bag into either Hornsey or Tottenham police stn and they will use it to fill in any gaps for unallocated children of the right age in their list.
