Hello,
Does anyone know a good reliable chiropractor or osteopath to reccommend in Haringey to solve back problems?
Also, is there a way to access these checks through NHS or it is always private?
Mention also the rate they ask if you can!
Thanks,
Cati

I had severe nerve fibre damage C6/C7 that had my shoulder and arm near worthless and in constant pain +pins and needles, Osteo sessions x10 helped a little but it was physio and excercises that helped most. I'd recommend physio over chiro/Osteo to begin with.
I have experienced back pain that was caused by poor posture and lack of core strength. After numerous referrals (private & NHS) the best treatment was provided by sports therapist. I used Manuel at Crouch End YMCA gym. Private physio complete waste of time. Wouldn't personally use a chiropractor. I would use Manuel again, totally trust his assessment and recommendations.
I don't have serious issues, but I was told by a chiropractor time ago and now again in a short spine check, that I have 3-4 disks blocked and my pelvis asymmetric and sx moved more forward than right side. And that I can't do much on my own to make it right, but need to treat it with sessions. I know it's important to be cautious that's why I am asking recommendation. I believe the person makes the difference!
However I wondered whether the osteopathy approach might be more or less appropriate than the chiropractic in such case! I tried chiropractic in the past but never tried osteopathy.
Thanks for the articles NEILt, I read them and I think I am enough aware and balanced in how to move within the complementary medicines dimension. :)
Thanks all for the answers, any further opinion is appreciated!
